Overtime Declarations (Υπερωρίες)
New daily overtime declarations have been introduced inside Digital Work Time Organization, replacing the old Ε8 overtime form. There are three variants:
- Οργάνωση Χρόνου Εργασίας – Υπερωρίες (Προαναγγελία) — pre-announced, before-the-fact overtime.
- Οργάνωση Χρόνου Εργασίας – Υπερωρίες Οδηγοί — for employers governed by Κανονισμοί (Ε.Κ.) 561/2006 and (Ε.Κ.) 165/2014 (drivers).
- Οργάνωση Χρόνου Εργασίας – Υπερωρίες – Απολογιστικό — retrospective, cross-checked against the relevant Exemption from Pre-Announcement declarations.
Available from:
Χρόνος Εργασίας → Ψηφιακή Οργάνωση Χρόνου Εργασίας → Εισαγωγή, or from the Ωράριο – Άδειες dashboard via Δήλωση Ωραρίου-Υπερωριών.
These declarations are for lawful overtime (υπερωρία) only. Υπερεργασία (extra hours up to the legal weekly ceiling) is not declared here.
Form structure
The form follows the same ΣΤΟΙΧΕΙΑ ΦΟΡΜΑΣ / ΕΠΙΧΕΙΡΗΣΗ-ΠΑΡΑΡΤΗΜΑ / ΑΠΑΣΧΟΛΟΥΜΕΝΟΙ structure as the other Digital Work Time Organization declarations. For each employee, you declare:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Τύπος Οργάνωσης Χρόνου Εργασίας | Υπερωρία (ώρα από – έως) or Ακύρωση Υπερωρίας (ΜΗ ΥΠΕΡΩΡΙΑ) |
| Ημερομηνία, Ώρα Από (Έναρξη), Ώρα Έως (Λήξη) | The overtime interval, declared as a single contiguous block |
Bulk entry for one or more employees via an attached XLSX file is supported for all three variants, the same way as the schedule declarations.
Submission timing
Lawful overtime is always announced before the overtime period begins, as a single continuous interval. The declared Ώρα Έναρξης must coincide with the end of the employee's regular working hours for that day.
Each declaration may be:
- A new submission — the submission date/time must be earlier than the declared start date/time of the overtime.
- A cancellation of a previously submitted declaration — this cancels the entire previously announced overtime, leaving its Ώρα Έναρξης/Ώρα Λήξης empty and inactive.
- A modification of the end time of the immediately preceding submission — submitted with the same values in every field as the declaration being modified, except for Ώρα Λήξης, which carries the new end time. The submission date/time must be earlier than the declared end date/time of the overtime being modified.
Overlapping shifts (Εναλλασσόμενες βάρδιες)
For overlapping/rotating shifts, a second Ώρα Έναρξης/Ώρα Λήξης pair may be recorded when one shift ends at the moment the calendar day changes and the next shift begins on the same date, requiring overtime again after that next shift ends.
Example: an employee's schedule on 26/11/2025 is 16:00–00:00, requiring 1 hour of υπερεργασία and 1 hour of overtime; the schedule on 27/11/2025 then starts at 13:00–21:00, where ending at 21:00 also requires 1 hour of υπερεργασία and 1 hour of overtime. Only in this scenario can a second Ώρα Έναρξης/Ώρα Λήξης pair be recorded for the same calendar day.
Even in the overlapping-shift scenario, only the overtime hours are declared — υπερεργασία is never recorded.
Cancelling overtime (Ακύρωση Υπερωρίας — ΜΗ ΥΠΕΡΩΡΙΑ)
Use Ακύρωση Υπερωρίας (ΜΗ ΥΠΕΡΩΡΙΑ) to withdraw a previously announced overtime declaration before it starts (e.g. the Προαναγγελία case, or where a scheduled overtime was announced but an unexpected change of schedule/overtime makes it different from what was planned).
- A cancellation requires a prior submission for the same employee whose declared Ημερομηνία – Ώρα Έναρξης of the overtime is later than the date/time of the cancellation submission. Otherwise the system shows "ΥΠΟΧΡΕΩΤΙΚΑ (ΔΕΝ ΒΡΕΘΗΚΕ ΥΠΕΡΩΡΙΑ (ΗΗ/ΜΜ/ΕΤΟΣ)) ΓΙΑ ΤΟ ΑΦΜ: 000000000".
- When cancelling, Ώρα Έναρξης and Ώρα Λήξης remain empty/inactive; all other fields must match the overtime declaration being cancelled.
To correct already-recorded retrospective (Απολογιστικό) overtime for a given date, first submit ΑΚΥΡΩΣΗ (ΜΗ ΥΠΕΡΩΡΙΑ) — Απολογιστικό, then submit a new Υπερωρίες – Απολογιστικό declaration with the corrected details (i.e. two submissions: cancel, then re-declare). The correction must be made through the Υπερωρίες entry form — not through the regular day-entry forms.
