Exemption from Pre-Announcement Obligation (Δήλωση Εξαίρεσης από την Υποχρέωση Προαναγγελίας Μεταβολών Ωραρίου και Υπερωριών)

Lets an eligible employer declare, on a monthly basis, that schedule changes and overtime for that month will not be subject to the usual pre-announcement (προαναγγελία) requirement — i.e. they can be reported απολογιστικά (after the fact) instead.

Eligibility

Only available to employers/branches that:

• belong to the Κλάδοι Ένταξης στην Κάρτα Εργασίας (sectors enrolled in the Digital Work Card mechanism — see Eligible Sectors), and
• are enrolled in the Work Card mechanism (μηχανισμός Κάρτας Εργασίας).

Form structure

• Παράρτημα Έδρα — the declaration can only be submitted for the business's head office (έδρα) branch, and applies to all branches of the business collectively.
• Έτος / Μήνας εφαρμογής — the calendar year/month the exemption applies to.
• Εξαίρεση Προαναγγελίας (Ναι/Όχι) — whether pre-announcement is waived for that month.

Key rules

• Submitted only on time (εμπρόθεσμα), with an effective date of the 1st of the application month — i.e. the declaration for a given month must be filed before the end of the previous month.
• In effect, this is "the digital choice of a pre-announcement or after-the-fact (απολογιστικό) system for recording schedule changes, organization-of-working-time changes, and overtime, for businesses already enrolled in the Work Card digital time-tracking mechanism" — and applies up to the end of the month following the reference month.
